Seducing young people in the study of our recent history is not easy, so the use of teaching methods more suited to their tastes is the key to pique their interest. The film, with its certainties and fictions, is a valuable historical source for understanding the recent past. O que é isso, companheiro? contributes to elucidate why some young people assumed that the guerrillas would help to end with the dictatorship. This film is essential for understanding the historical event to which it relates, the Brazilian urban guerrillas of the late sixties, and at the same time, it is an interesting document for the analysis of the society in which it has been originated: Brazil late nineties.
